About the golden silver
Silver is naturally silver in color, while gold is only a plating over the metal, which is why the color fades over time. In the case of rings, bracelets, and shorter necklaces, the durability may be considerably lower due to greater contact with the skin, with each person's pH and level of perspiration being relevant factors. For the gold plating on our jewelry to last much longer, we use a gold plating with more microns (gold vermeil). This gold plating consists of a 3-micron layer of gold deposited onto the silver piece, making it stronger and more resistant to oxidation when compared to flash gold plating of 0.5 to 1 micron.

Necklace Size Guide
Most of our necklaces are available in different sizes in lengths of 40 cm, 50 cm, 60 cm, and 70 cm.
Please note that the measurements provided are for reference only. When choosing a size, you should consider the anatomy and shape of the neck and bust of the person who will be wearing the necklace. To find the perfect necklace length, we recommend that you:
- Use a necklace you already own that is the ideal length for you. Measure it from end to end.
- If you do not have a necklace of the length you would like, use a thin piece of string and place it around your neck. Join the ends at your ideal length and then measure the length of the string from the end to that mark.
Most necklaces can be produced in other sizes. If the size you want is different from those presented, please send an email to info@marthaalmeida.com.
