Workshop Implementation Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to all experiences and workshops promoted by Martha Almeida Jewellery, held on previously scheduled dates and times and with limited places.

For legal and contractual purposes, all experiences promoted by Martha Almeida constitute in-person jewellery workshops, hereinafter referred to in these regulations as “workshops”.

This policy also applies to workshops booked using vouchers promoted by Martha Almeida Jewellery.

2. Holding the Workshop

All workshops are held on previously agreed dates and times.

The workshops are aimed at people with no need for prior jewellery experience, with all stages being accompanied by a professional.

3. Booking and Payment

A booking is only considered valid after full payment of the workshop fee, made at the time of booking the date. The payment covers the reservation of the place, the date and the time, as well as the prior preparation of the studio and materials.

Places are limited and allocated in order of payment confirmation.

The amounts paid refer to a personalized service with a specific date, in accordance with article 17(1)(l) of Decree-Law no. 24/2014.

4. Cancellation and Refund

Under the terms of Decree-Law no. 24/2014 of 14 February, regarding distance contracts, please be informed that, as this is a service provision associated with an activity on a specific date, the right of free withdrawal within 14 days does not apply, as provided for in article 17(l) of the aforementioned legislation.

Without prejudice to the above, Martha Almeida Jewellery establishes the following cancellation and refund conditions:

1. Cancellation of participation in the workshop must be notified in writing via email to info@marthaalmeida.com, indicating the order number.

2. In the event of cancellation by the participant (including bookings made using a voucher), the following conditions apply:

• Cancellations notified 30 days or more in advance of the workshop date: The participant will be refunded the full amount paid, minus any transaction fees associated with the payment method used.
• Cancellations notified less than 30 days and 11 days or more in advance of the workshop date: The participant is entitled to a refund of 50% of the amount paid.
• Cancellations notified less than 11 days in advance of the workshop date, as well as no-shows or withdrawals after the start of the workshop: No refund will be given to the participant.
• Bookings made with a voucher: In the event of cancellation, the conditions described above apply to the purchaser of the voucher, and any refund will be processed exclusively to them.
• Counting of deadlines: The indicated deadlines are calculated in calendar days, using the workshop start date as a reference.
• Date of notification: For cancellation purposes, the date the email is received by the studio will be considered.

In the event of cancellation of the workshop by Martha Almeida Jewellery, the participant or, where applicable, the voucher purchaser, will be refunded the full amount paid.

5. Postponement

Postponement of a workshop is exceptional and subject to approval by Martha Almeida Jewellery.

The request for postponement must be communicated in writing via email to info@marthaalmeida.com, indicating the order number.

Conditions for acceptance:

1. Notification deadlines

The postponement request must respect the same deadlines defined for cancellation:

• 30 days or more in advance: postponement without penalty;
• Less than 30 days and 11 days or more in advance: subject to acceptance;
• Less than 11 days in advance: will only be considered in duly justified exceptional cases.

2. Exceptional reasons (for requests outside the deadline)

Postponement outside the deadlines indicated above may be accepted exclusively in the following situations, upon presentation of proof, where applicable:

• Sudden illness
• Accident
• Compliance with legal obligations
• Examinations at an educational institution
• Urgent medical appointment or examination
• Providing unavoidable assistance to a family member
• Death of a family member

All other situations will be considered unjustified absences.

3. Postponement conditions

In the event of approval of the postponement:

• The amount paid is not refunded
• The workshop may be rescheduled only once
• The new date will be subject to agenda availability

4. Limitation

If it is not possible to find a compatible new date, the amount paid is neither transferred nor refunded.

6. No-show

Failure to appear at the scheduled date and time, without prior notification, is considered a withdrawal, and no refund or postponement will be granted.

7. Precious Metals and Variable Costs

Precious metals are not included in the workshop fee.

The final value of the metals will be calculated after the workshop, based on the final weight of the pieces, the market price of the metal on the date of the workshop, and associated technical costs.

When gold is supplied by the studio, a pre-payment of €300 is requested on the workshop booking form, which is fully deducted from the final price of the rings. The studio purchases gold specifically for each order and does not maintain permanent stock.

8. Acceptance of Policy

By making the booking and paying for the workshop, the participant declares that they have read, understood and fully accepted this policy.
