Your order will only be processed after confirmation of the respective payment. If the payment has been made and the order has not yet been shipped, the respective costs will be returned in full, including the shipping cost. Martha Almeida Jewellery does not accept any other payment method for orders placed on the website.

In order to prevent fraud in transactions and payments made through the Website, Martha Almeida Jewellery adopts preventive mechanisms that analyze characteristics of purchases that may appear fraudulent. To ensure that a transaction is not fraudulent, Martha Almeida Jewellery may request additional information or supplementary data from the User.

In the event that the User refuses to provide such additional information, Martha Almeida Jewellery reserves the right not to process the purchase or accept the order.

The User is aware that even though Martha Almeida Jewellery uses advanced technological mechanisms and systems, system errors may occur. Should this happen, the User may contact Martha Almeida Jewellery via email at info@marthaalmeida.com

After the purchase is completed by the User, the invoice to be issued will be based on the information provided, the itemized prices of the purchased articles, shipping costs, and the applicable VAT, and it will not be possible, in any case, to alter the data contained therein.

 5. Articles and Prices

The articles displayed and sold on the Martha Almeida Jewellery website are cataloged in their respective product categories and collections. On each product page, it is possible to view descriptions and technical data, as well as available customization options.

It is important that the User keeps in mind that, due to the characteristics of manual production, the articles may differ slightly from those shown in the images on the website.

Martha Almeida Jewellery is committed to ensuring that articles sold on the website are available in stock or by order, allowing the User to obtain this information on each product page. In case of unexpected stock shortage and the impossibility of immediate purchase or shipment, the User will be informed promptly.

The prices of the articles indicated on the website are to be understood in euros, with taxes (VAT) included at the rate in force in Portugal. The prices do not include order shipping costs (as per article 3).

Martha Almeida Jewellery reserves the right, at any time, to change the price and specifications of the articles or services on the website or to conduct promotional campaigns. There may also be variations compared to prices found at events or in the Atelier Store.

6. Exchanges and Returns

6.1. Right of Free Resolution

The User may exercise their right of free resolution of the contract, pursuant to Decree-Law no. 24/2014, of February 14.

In order to exercise the right of free resolution, the User must communicate their decision to resolve this contract to Martha Almeida Jewellery by means of an unequivocal statement via postal mail, or email to info@marthaalmeida.com.

To exercise the right of free resolution of the contract, it is sufficient that the communication regarding the exercise of the right of free resolution be sent to Martha Almeida Jewellery within 14 calendar days from the day the articles are received by the User.

Regarding articles produced according to the User's requested specifications, and as provided in article 17 of Decree-Law no. 24/2014, of February 14, they are considered personalized products and, therefore, are excluded from withdrawal rights. In these cases, the User may not exercise the right of free resolution, may not return these articles, and will not be refunded.

In the event of resolution of this contract, the User must return the articles in perfect condition, inside the original packaging, accompanied by the respective original invoice, warranty certificates, gifts, and other accompanying documents, within a maximum period of 14 (fourteen) days from the day they informed Martha Almeida Jewellery of the free resolution of the contract.

The Articles must be sent/returned to the address of Martha Almeida Jewellery's headquarters which appears at the beginning of these terms and conditions. The address is also available for permanent consultation at https://marthaalmeida.com/loja/

Return shipping costs will be the sole responsibility of the User, who must send the articles with the possibility of tracking the order and must always keep proof of shipment.

Once all the conditions indicated above have been verified, Martha Almeida Jewellery will proceed to refund the payment made by the User, excluding delivery costs, within a maximum period of 14 days after their return, using the same method used for payment, with the exception of payments made via Multibanco, for which the refund will be made via bank transfer.

6.2. Return of Articles

The User has 14 days from the date of delivery of the order (whether in national territory or other countries) to return the purchased articles. To do so, the User must communicate their intention to return, indicating the order number, the article reference, and the reason for the return, by sending this information as soon as possible via email to info@marthaalmeida.com. The article must be returned inside the original packaging, in perfect condition, with no signs of having been used or damaged, with the respective purchase invoice, warranty certificate, gifts, and all elements accompanying the order.

The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the User, who must send the articles with the possibility of tracking the order and must always keep proof of shipment.

Considering compliance with the return conditions, Martha Almeida Jewellery guarantees a refund within 14 days (excluding shipping costs) via the same payment method, except for payments made via Multibanco, for which the refund will be made via bank transfer that the User must provide, preferably via email, to Martha Almeida Jewellery.

The return must be accompanied by a copy of the email previously sent to Martha Almeida Jewellery, packing the article(s) and respective elements in a closed package for appropriate transport service.

6.3. Exchanges

Within 14 days from the date of delivery of the order, via Pick-up or delivery to an address, it is possible to exchange provided the article arrives at the Martha Almeida Jewellery headquarters facilities inside the original packaging and is in the condition in which it was purchased, with the respective purchase invoice, warranty certificates, gifts, and all documents accompanying the order. To do so, the User must communicate the intention to exchange, indicating the order number, the reference of the purchased article and the article for which they wish to exchange it, and the reason for the exchange, by sending this information as soon as possible via email to info@marthaalmeida.com.

The User may exchange for another piece of equal or greater value.

The exchange can be made in person at the Atelier Store during opening hours or via a transport company.

If the exchange is carried out by a transport company, the shipping costs of the exchange will not be refunded, and the cost related to the new shipment is the responsibility of the User.

All pieces are described with maximum precision and duly packaged. However, if the User is not satisfied or encounters any problem upon receiving them, they should immediately contact Martha Almeida Jewellery, which will strive to resolve the issue.

Before placing your order, you should ask all the questions you wish to clarify.

 7. Warranty

The warranty conditions are governed by Decree-Law no. 84/2021, of October 18, which regulates consumer rights in the purchase of goods, under Directives (EU) 2019/771 and (EU) 2019/770, of May 20.

The articles sold by Martha Almeida Jewellery are covered by a 3-year manufacturer's warranty. In the first two years, it is presumed that the defect already existed at the time of delivery, so the consumer does not have to provide proof to activate the warranty; in the third year, the consumer will have to prove that the defect existed at the time of delivery.

The "right of rejection" allows the consumer to freely choose between the replacement of the article and the resolution of the contract when the lack of conformity manifests within the first 30 days from delivery.

During the warranty period, the article that presents a manufacturing defect will be repaired free of charge or, in cases where repair is not possible, replaced by a similar model. If the article is repaired (up to a maximum of 4 repairs), the warranty period is extended by six months.

The User must present the non-conforming good, together with the original purchase invoice and the respective warranty certificate (indicating the date of purchase, name and reference assigned to the good – where applicable – or product designation) or other suitable proof of purchase.

The cost of shipping the article under warranty from the consumer to the Martha Almeida Jewellery atelier, if a manufacturing defect is proven during the warranty period, is the responsibility of Martha Almeida Jewellery. The consumer is reimbursed for this charge via bank transfer or another payment method to be agreed with the User within a maximum period of thirty days from the confirmation of the manufacturing defect.

Martha Almeida Jewellery will ship the repaired article or the new article to the address indicated by the User at no additional cost.

Excluded from the warranty are articles subject to breakage, loss, theft, deterioration, oxidation, loss of plating color, defects caused by impact, including deformations originating from daily use, inappropriate use, inadequate maintenance and cleaning, negligence, improper handling, modifications to the original product, and repairs not authorized by the brand.

The User may read here about the care they should take into account for the proper maintenance of Martha Almeida Jewellery jewelry.

 8. After-Sales Service

During the warranty period, any damages/deformations not covered by the warranty, including loss of plating color, inadequate maintenance and cleaning, negligence, or improper handling, may be repaired by Martha Almeida Jewellery. In these cases, the brand provides technical assistance service in its own workshop, subject to prior quotation.

Once the warranty period has expired, Martha Almeida Jewellery may provide technical assistance for articles produced by the brand and purchased by the User, who must request a quote for the desired assistance service via the email indicated above.

Any repair not covered by the warranty entails costs for the User, and therefore, Martha Almeida Jewellery only proceeds with the repair after approval of the budget proposal by the User, who should send their request for quotation to the email info@marthaalmeida.com.

The cost of shipping the article to the Martha Almeida Jewellery atelier is the responsibility of the User.

9. Martha Almeida Jewellery Workshops

9.1. Scope

This policy applies to all experiences and all workshops promoted by Martha Almeida Jewellery, held on a previously scheduled date and time and with limited spaces.

For legal and contractual purposes, all experiences promoted by Martha Almeida constitute in-person jewelry workshops, hereafter referred to in this document as “workshops.”

This policy also applies to workshops booked through the use of vouchers promoted by Martha Almeida Jewellery.

9.2. Holding the Workshop

All workshops are held on previously agreed dates and times.

The workshops are intended for people with no need for prior experience in jewelry, with all stages accompanied by a professional.

9.3. Booking and Payment

The booking of a space is only considered valid after full payment of the workshop fee, made at the time of scheduling the date. The payment corresponds to the reservation of the space, date, and time, as well as the prior preparation of the atelier and materials.

Spaces are limited and assigned in order of payment confirmation.

The amounts paid refer to a personalized service, with a specific date, pursuant to article 17, no. 1, paragraph l) of Decree-Law no. 24/2014.

9.4. Cancellation and Refund

Pursuant to the provisions of Decree-Law no. 24/2014, of February 14, regarding contracts concluded at a distance, it is informed that, as it is a service provision associated with an activity with a specific date, the right of free resolution within 14 days does not apply, as provided in paragraph l) of article 17 of said diploma.

Without prejudice to the provisions above, Martha Almeida Jewellery establishes the following cancellation and refund conditions:

1. Cancellation of participation in the workshop must be communicated in writing, via email info@marthaalmeida.com, indicating the order number.

2. In case of cancellation on the participant's initiative (including bookings made using a voucher), the following conditions apply:

  • Cancellations communicated with 30 days or more notice before the workshop date: The participant will be refunded the full amount paid, minus any transaction fees associated with the payment method used.
  • Cancellations communicated with less than 30 days and 11 days or more notice before the workshop date: The participant is entitled to a refund of 50% of the amount paid.
  • Cancellations communicated with less than 11 days notice before the workshop date, as well as situations of no-show or withdrawal after the workshop begins: No refund will be given to the participant.
  • Bookings made with a voucher: In case of cancellation, the conditions described above apply to the voucher purchaser, and any potential refund will be processed exclusively to them.
  • Counting of deadlines: The deadlines indicated are calculated in calendar days, using the workshop start date as a reference.
  • Date of communication: For cancellation purposes, the date of receipt of the email by the atelier will be considered.

In case of cancellation of the workshop on the initiative of Martha Almeida Jewellery, the participant or, where applicable, the voucher purchaser, will be fully refunded the amount paid.

9.5. Postponement

The postponement of the workshop is of an exceptional nature and is subject to approval by Martha Almeida Jewellery.

The request for postponement must be communicated in writing via email info@marthaalmeida.com, indicating the order number.

Acceptance conditions:

1. Communication deadlines

The request for postponement must respect the same deadlines defined for cancellation:

  • With 30 days or more notice: postponement without penalty;
  • With less than 30 days and 11 days or more notice: subject to acceptance;
  • With less than 11 days notice: only considered in duly justified exceptional cases.

2. Exceptional reasons (for late requests)

Postponement outside the deadlines indicated above may be accepted exclusively in the following situations, subject to presentation of proof, where applicable:

  • Sudden illness
  • Accident
  • Fulfillment of legal obligations
  • Assessment exams at an educational institution
  • Urgent medical appointment or examination
  • Provision of unavoidable assistance to a family member
  • Death of a family member

All other situations will be considered unjustified absences.

3. Postponement conditions

If the postponement is accepted:

  • The amount paid is non-refundable
  • The workshop may be rescheduled only once
  • The new date will be subject to schedule availability

4. Limitation

If it is not possible to find a suitable new date, the amount paid is neither transferable nor refundable.

After booking and payment confirmation, no refunds of any amounts paid are permitted in the event of cancellation by the participant, regardless of the reason presented.

This condition is justified by the exclusive reservation of the date, limited capacity, and the advanced technical and logistical preparation required.

9.6. No-show

Failure to appear on the scheduled date and time, without prior notice, is considered a cancellation, with no entitlement to a refund or postponement.

9.7. Precious Metals and Variable Costs

Precious metals are not included in the workshop fee.

The final value of the metals will be calculated after the workshop, based on the final weight of the pieces and the metal price at that date.

When gold is provided by the studio, an advance payment of €300 is requested in the form below, which will be fully deducted from the final price of the rings. The studio purchases the gold specifically for each order and does not hold permanent stock.

9.8. Acceptance of Policy

By booking and paying for the workshop, the participant declares having read, understood, and fully accepted this policy.

10. Acceptance and Proof

Validation of the purchase request implies that the User has read and expressly accepts these Terms and Conditions, available for consultation on the website. Computerized records, kept in Martha Almeida Jewellery’s computer systems under secure conditions, are considered proof of communications, orders, and payments made between the parties, in accordance with legal provisions, and will allow for the enforceability of the amounts appearing in the order confirmation email. This validation acts as a signature and acceptance of all operations performed on the website.
